Sinead is a dedicated and compassionate Certified Play Therapist. She started her career as an Early Years Educator and has over 24 years of experience in working with children. Sinead also worked for over 20 years as a drama practitioner supporting children to find their voice and develop self-confidence. Now, with a deep understanding of the power of play, Sinead utilises this natural medium to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can express their feelings, explore their thoughts, and build essential coping skills. She is dedicated to creating a supportive environment for children to explore and express their emotions through play therapy. With extensive experience and a passion for helping children thrive, Sinead is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy from NUIG and APAC, Sinead has specialized training in child-centered play therapy. She is committed to staying current with the latest research and techniques in the field, continuously seeking out professional development opportunities.

Throughout Sinead’s career, she has worked with children and families from diverse backgrounds, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavioral issues, and social challenges. Sinead believes in a holistic and family-centered approach, recognizing the importance of involving parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process to support the child’s growth and healing.
With her empathetic and non-judgmental demeanour, Sinead builds strong therapeutic alliances with her young clients, empowering them to find their voice and develop resilience. Sinead is passionate about helping children discover their inner strengths and supporting them on their journey toward emotional well-being.
In addition to individual therapy, Sinead offers group sessions and consultations for parents and educators, providing valuable tools and strategies to foster a supportive and understanding environment for children.
When not in the therapy room, Sinead enjoys creating and teaching art classes which further enriches her creative and playful approach to therapy. She is an active member of IPTCA (Irish Play Therapy Community Association), contributing to the advancement of play therapy and child mental health. Sinead is fully insured and Garda vetted.
